Ernest Hemingway Signature Reels are covered by a three (3) year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser, provided the product is registered within forty-five (45) days of purchase.

Once registration is completed successfully, customers will automatically receive a warranty confirmation email.

Covered warranty components include:

  • Structural failures involving the frame, housing, or spool

  • Internal gearing defects caused by factory error

  • Bearings and drag system failures outside normal tolerances

 

 

11.2 STANDARD WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The standard warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper maintenance or neglect

  • Saltwater corrosion caused by failure to rinse equipment after use

  • Misuse, abuse, or accidents

  • Unauthorized modifications or third-party components

  • Cosmetic wear from normal use

  • Damage caused by improper storage or transportation

11.3 EXTENDED WARRANTY OPTIONS

Requirements:

  • Product registration within forty-five (45) days

  • Annual certified maintenance service through Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company

Annual Service Fee:
USD $95.00 per reel plus shipping

 

 

Hemingway Heritage Warranty (7-Year Extension)

Designed for recreational and sport anglers seeking long-term protection.

Requirements:

  • Product registration within forty-five (45) days

  • One certified maintenance service before expiration of the standard warranty

Service Fee:
USD $85.00 per reel plus shipping

 

 

11.4 WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

To begin a warranty claim:

  1. Register the product within forty-five (45) days of purchase

  2. Retain proof of purchase

  3. Contact Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company at hello@ehfco.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

  4. Ship the product insured to the authorized Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company repair location in Naples, Florida

Customers are responsible for inbound shipping costs. Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company will cover return shipping if the issue is confirmed under warranty. Our customer service team manually reviews warranty requests to ensure every claim receives personal attention and support.

 

 

11.5 PRODUCT REGISTRATION

Product registration is required to activate warranty coverage and must be completed through the Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company website within forty-five (45) days of purchase.

Registered customers may receive:

11.6 AUTHORIZED SERVICE AND REPAIR

To ensure quality control and consistency of workmanship, all warranty evaluations, maintenance services, and repairs must be sent directly to Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company in Naples, Florida. Customers should contact Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company customer service at hello@ehfco.com prior to shipping any product for repair or warranty service in order to receive return instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Customers are responsible for securely packaging and ensuring products being shipped for service. Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company is not responsible for items damaged or lost during inbound shipping transit.

 

 

12. RESALE RESTRICTIONS

Products purchased through the Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company website are intended for personal use only and may not be purchased for unauthorized resale or distribution without prior written approval from Ernest Hemingway Fishing Company.
